Victory has developed a new method of vacuum deposition to provide a superior glare reduction coating on its slimline infrared lamps. The process, also known as sputtering, has been used on MR16 lamp reflectors for many years, but was previously unsuitable for coating a tubular surface. Use this latest development where ruby lamps are considered ‘too red’, or simply as an upgrade over existing dip-coated glare reduction lamps.

Product Features

o         The thickness of each film that makes up the multi-layer coating is controlled much more tightly than is possible with competitive dip-coating processes.

o         Constant colour over its entire length, and from one batch to the next

o         The occurrence of pinholes in the new coating is reduced

o         Stability of the coating over lamp life has been enhanced.

o         Flexibility to tailor the transmission to suit different applications – modifications in spectral output, colour of the transmitted light, and amount of visible light are all brought within our control
